Ski & Snowboard Fun

South Tyrol’s Ski Mountain No.1 with South Tyrol’s Snow Park No. 1
At the Kronplatz South Tyrol’s biggest snow park is being constructed, the so called „Snowpark Kronplatz“.
The park is going to be built at the ski lift „Belvedere“, the slope is in the south-east and therefore in a sunny position.

The Sella Roundtrip

Known also in the Ladin language as the "Sellaronda," this refers to circling the Sella Massif by ski.
From the four entry points (Wolkenstein, Corvara, Canazei, or Arabba), you can proceed via four passes into four different valleys and their associated ski areas: the Gader Valley / Alta Badia, the Gröden Valley / Val Gardena, Arabba, and the Fassa Valley / Val di Fassa.
The approx. 40 km of slopes and aerial lifts are easy to traverse in a single day, but require good physical condition.
We recommend that you start on the round trip by 10:00 a.m. It doesn't matter which route you choose; you can go in the clockwise (green arrow) or counterclockwise (orange arrow) direction.

You can travel to the Sellaronda by taking the complimentary ski shuttle bus at the Picolin valley station; the bus departs every twenty minutes.

The Mountain Soldier Tour
Skiing around the Col di Lana along the same route used during World War I is also referred to as the "Mountain Soldier" tour. This place has a rich history. It was a front line in 1917, and you'll find evidence and traces of the fighting wherever you go.
With your Dolomiti Super Ski Pass, you can use all of the aerial lifts in the region and also the ski shuttle bus. Taxi rides and horse-drawn carriage rides cost extra.
You start at the Falzarego Pass. From there, take the cableway to reach the summit of the Lagazuoi. Then follow the "Lagazuoi" ski slope until you come to the ski slopes of Col Gallina. From here, the route is well described. Just follow the signposts.

The route can be completed in six hours. Here are a few additional technical details about the "Mountain Soldier" tour:
  • Total length (roundtrip): 82.5 km
  • Total length of the slopes: 31 km
  • Total length of the aerial lifts: 18 km
  • Horse-drawn carriage route: 1.5 km
